2023 has been full of bucket list moments for Hive Mind. The new four piece instrumental outfit has found themselves on some of the most iconic stages in the country this year - The Eastern, The Caverns, Spirit of Suwannee, Georgia Theatre, and Nelsons Ledges to name a few. What is more remarkable is the band has achieved all this success solely on word of mouth buzz - no record, no management, no agent - just a fiercely loyal group of fans who’s numbers and dedication to the band grow larger after each show.

 

As the floodgates open professionally and creatively, the band stands at the precipice of some incredible opportunities. As archival releases of their breakout shows, a debut record, and major club and festival bookings in 2024 line up, the band moves from rooms of those strictly in the know, and into the world at large. 

 

The bands influences range wildly, but play out in a exciting display on genres. Think melodic instrumentals with big rock hooks backed by true genre defying without a net type two style improvisation. Some moments contemplative, others full throttle maximalism. The band has shared the stage with jam heavyweights The Disco Biscuits, STS9, Lotus, Papadosio - while Hive Mind pays respects to the spirit of their predecessors, they keeps its eyes firmly on its own unique musical voice and vision.
